What krankin’ kids needs?  

What to bring

  • Your mountain bike in good working order. Brakes and gears working, off road tyres. Our coaches are unable to fix any pre-existing problems with bikes during the sessions so please make sure bikes are well maintained so that riders dont miss out on their session. If any bikes are in need of maintainence we can point you in the direction of some great local shops!

  • Protective gear - A safe and well-fitting helmet is compulsory. We also reccomend full finger gloves, knee and elbow pads.

  • Water and any snacks to keep the rider fuelled and hydrated for 1.5 hours! It is ideal if the rider can carry these themselves i.e. in a hydration pack or water bottle holder on their bike.

  • A warm layer and rain jacket if weather forecast looks dodgy. Especially for those doing the Saturday morning sessions in the winter.

  • Your positivity and a big smile!

Other Info

Sign in and out: Please ensure you sign your child in and out each evening. PLEASE LET US KNOW in advance if your child is riding to/from the sessions by themselves so that we can release them after the session.

Attendance: PLEASE LET US KNOW in advance if your child is going to be away. This way we will not be waiting for them! Email us at info@krankinkids.co.nz or text Dene on 027 231 2214 with your childs name.

Sunscreen: When summers here, yipee! Don't forget the sunscreen. We will have some spare at base if you forget.
